Hype Williams

Hype Williams has created a number of music videos for many artists, including 2Pac ("California Love"), The Notorious B.I.G. ("Warning") and ("One More Chance"), Craig Mack ("Flava in Ya Ear" (Remix)), LL Cool J ("Doin' It"), Nas ("If I Ruled the World (Imagine That)", "Street Dreams", "Hate Me Now"), Missy Elliott ("The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly))", "She's a Bitch"), Busta Rhymes ("Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See"), TLC ("No Scrubs"),Kelis ("Caught Out There"), Jay-Z ("Big Pimpin'"), Kanye West ("Gold Digger", "Heartless", "All of the Lights", "Diamonds from Sierra Leone"), Aaliyah ("Rock the Boat"), Christina Aguilera ("Not Myself Tonight"), Cold play("Viva la vida"), Ne-Yo ("So Sick"), Hoobastank ("If I Were You"), Left Eye (The Block Party), t.A.T.u.("Gomenasai"), Ke$ha ("We R Who We R"), Meek Mill ("Levels"),"Massive Attack" and "Va Va Voom"), and Jack White ("Freedom at 21"). This is all the music videos that Hype Williams has directed. He has worked with a variety of different types of genres of music and loads of artists with different influences.

Hype Williams had a serices with MTV where they did a behind the scenes of the world of music celebrities. In my research i have found that the thing that has influenced Hype Williams, he started of filming rappers and the rappers themselves influences him to film them type of genres of music videos. He works mostly around the rap genre but has worked with other artists like Cold play and Va Va Voom.A signature style used by Williams throughout the vast majority of his videos (shot mostly with cinematographer John Perez) was the Fisheye lens which distorted the camera view around the central focus. Another "signature style" involves placing shots in regular widescreen ratio, while a second shot is split and placed in the upper and lower bars. The other reason i have chosen Hype Williams is because he started of as nothing but worked his way up and helping other artists through out their courier.
